Fractional CFO Services
I provide ongoing fractional CFO support for founder-led B2B service businesses that want clearer financial visibility, stronger control over cashflow, and more confidence in their decisions.
My role is to bring structure, insight and calm to the financial side of the business — without unnecessary complexity or the cost of a full-time CFO.
Ongoing Fractional CFO Support
This is an ongoing advisory relationship designed to give founders consistent financial clarity, stability and confidence.
I work alongside you as your Fractional CFO — helping you understand what’s happening in the business, anticipate what’s coming next, and make better decisions with fewer surprises.
What this looks like in practice
- Regular cashflow forecasting and forward visibility
- Budgeting, planning and scenario modelling
- Insight into pricing, margins and utilisation
- Clear monthly financial commentary
- Support with hiring, investment and growth decisions
- Improved reporting, structure and financial workflows
Who this is for
This service is designed for founder-led B2B service businesses that have outgrown basic bookkeeping and reporting, and want forward-looking financial leadership without the cost or commitment of a full-time CFO.
I do not provide bookkeeping, statutory accounts or tax services. I work alongside your existing accountant and bookkeeper, adding strategic insight rather than duplicating compliance work.
How the Engagement Works
Most clients start with an introductory call to confirm fit and clarify priorities. From there, the engagement follows a simple, structured rhythm designed to create clarity quickly and maintain momentum over time.
1. Introductory Call
A focused conversation to understand your business, current challenges, and what you want from financial leadership. This is not a sales call — it’s a chance to explore whether working together would genuinely be helpful.
2. Onboarding & Financial Foundations
A focused conversation to understand your business, current challenges, and what you want from financial leadership. This is not a sales call — it’s a chance to explore whether working together would genuinely be helpful.
3. Ongoing Fractional CFO Support
Once the foundations are in place, support continues on a monthly basis. This includes regular financial review, forward-looking insight, and strategic discussion to help you make confident decisions around cashflow, pricing, hiring, and growth.
Engagements are intentionally low-volume and tailored to the business. My focus is on providing clarity, not creating dependency or unnecessary complexity.
Pricing & Commitment
My work is structured as an ongoing fractional CFO retainer, rather than ad-hoc consulting.
This reflects the nature of the role: building understanding over time, improving financial visibility, and supporting better decisions as the business evolves.
Fees typically range from £2,000 to £4,000 per month, depending on the size and complexity of the business, the level of support required, and the stage of growth.
Most engagements begin with an initial onboarding period to establish forecasting, reporting, and financial structure. From there, work continues on a rolling monthly basis.
I deliberately work with a small number of clients at any one time to ensure focus, continuity, and a high standard of support.
Is this right for you?
This work is a good fit if:
- You run a founder-led B2B service business
- You have a team and real decisions to make
- You want forward-looking financial insight, not just reports
- You value clarity, structure, and calm over urgency and noise
- You already have (or intend to have) a bookkeeper and accountant
This is probably not the right fit if:
- You’re looking for bookkeeping or compliance work
- You want someone to “just do the numbers” without discussion
- Your business is very early-stage with minimal revenue
- You want tactical finance execution rather than advisory support
- You’re not yet ready to invest in ongoing financial leadership
If you’re unsure whether this is the right level of support, a short introductory call is usually the easiest way to find out.
